Things I’ve Learned

Something like 40% of Hong Kong is designated country park, open to the public. And somewhere around 70% of HK is considered rural. So, yes, Hong Kong is a raging metropolis with ridiculously tall skyscrapers that change color and broadcast announcements and advertisements using complex light systems, but it’s also a great place to get outside. I can wake up in Central (the place with all the tall buildings Hong Kong is famous for) and still be just a short ferry ride away from both ocean kayaking and mountain hiking. And I think that’s pretty neat 🙂
